Meraki WPN: Secure. Simple. Segmented.

Wireless Personal Network (WPN)

A Wi-Fi Personal Network (WPN) is a feature within Cisco Meraki’s wireless platform that allows multiple users to securely connect to the same Wi-Fi name (SSID) while still maintaining their own individual, isolated network environments.

Rather than assigning users to different network names or dedicated routers, WPN seamlessly segments each user into a private “bubble”, delivering the sense of a personal, home-like network experience within a larger, shared infrastructure.

Student Housing

In dormitories or student residences, a single SSID can be broadcast throughout the facility. Each student’s devices—laptops, smartphones, gaming consoles—automatically receive their own isolated segment within that shared SSID, ensuring privacy and security while eliminating the complexity of juggling multiple Wi-Fi names.

Multi-Tenant Residential Buildings

In apartment complexes or condominium buildings, residents can all connect to the building’s one common SSID. Despite sharing this single point of access, each resident’s experience feels as if they have their own personal home network. This arrangement reduces administration overhead and improves the tenant experience by combining simplicity and robust security.

Elder Care Facilities

In retirement homes or assisted living environments, implementing a single SSID allows staff to provide a user-friendly connectivity experience to all residents. Each resident’s devices benefit from an isolated network space, protecting personal data and ensuring an easy, accessible approach to staying connected—vital for communication, telemedicine, and entertainment.

Hospitality

In hotels or extended-stay accommodations, guests can connect to the same familiar SSID provided by the property. With WPN, each guest’s devices remain securely isolated from those of other guests, ensuring a home-like level of privacy and protection without the inconvenience of multiple network names.

Redefine Shared Access: Personal, Protected, and Effortless

By adopting Netgraph WPN management, administrators can streamline network management, enhance security, and provide a consistent, personal experience for every user, all within a single SSID. This innovative solution unites flexibility, simplicity, and data protection, offering residents, guests, students, and tenants alike the reliable and secure connectivity they expect.
