Overview #
The Click-to-Connect authentication method provides seamless guest WiFi access with a single click. Users simply confirm the Terms and Conditions, and they are immediately connected to the network without requiring credentials or approvals. This method is ideal for locations where quick access and ease of use are a priority, such as cafés, hotels, shopping malls, and public spaces.
1. User Login Process #
- The user selects the Guest WiFi network.
- They are redirected to the Captive Portal, where they see a Click-to-Connect option.
- Before proceeding, the user must accept the Terms and Conditions and confirm acknowledgment of the Privacy Policy.
- Once accepted, the system grants instant access to the WiFi network.
- The user is redirected to a predefined webpage, which is typically the organization’s homepage, a promotional page, or any other configured URL.
2. Configuration & Customization #
Administrators can configure the Click-to-Connect module through the Admin Portal with the following options:
🔹 Viewing & Managing Click-to-Connect Logins #
📌 Sign In Administration → Sign In Modules → Click-to-Connect Logins
- View user login history, including timestamps and session durations.
- Monitor usage trends and session expiry times.
🔹 Configuring Captive Portal UI & Redirect Settings #
📌 Sign In Administration → Login Portal → Portal Configurations → Click-to-Connect Settings
- Customize the login page text, including instructions, branding, and legal disclaimers.
- Set the session duration (access time) before the user needs to reconnect.
- Apply branding and messaging customization on the Captive Portal to align with business identity.
- Modify the redirect URL where users are sent after authentication (e.g., homepage, survey, promotional content).

- Define and update Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy that users must accept before authentication.
- Ensure compliance with legal and corporate policies by enforcing acceptance before granting access.
3. Security & Compliance Considerations #
- Users must explicitly accept the Terms and Conditions before access is granted.
- IT administrators can monitor usage logs and enforce session timeouts for better network control.
- The redirect URL can be used strategically for compliance messaging, promotional campaigns, or data collection initiatives.
